My son really likes Drexel. He is a current JR in HS. We could only swing Drexel is he was to receive a good scholarship along with some Grant money. ( will have three in college his first year). Does anyone know if your EFC is around 15000 if Drexel would give any Grant money? My son should receive a merit scholarship (current GPA is 4.0 UW - SAT is 1300) Also are students required to take the SAT-2 tests?
Run the Net Price Calculator on the Drexel website and look carefully to see whether the resulting financial aid package includes a grant. The website should also include information on whether SAT2 tests are required or recommended.
The Net Price Calculator doesn’t ask EFC or GPA, so I’m not confident that the estimate I am getting is right. I know that Drexel uses the CSS form, so other factors could come into play. Just would be interested if anyone with a close EFC received any Grant money.
Without GPA, the NPC isn’t giving a merit scholarship estimate. But, I would think that ordinary financial need-based grants would be reflected in the estimate from the NPC.
I took a quick look at the NPC - it looks like it’s broken. I’d probably call the FA office.
My D got a 10k grant, which was completely unexpected. I’m divorced, and my EFT is about 19k. My ex has about the same EFC and I assume with the PROFILE and the non-custodial form they used both our info, so I wasn’t expecting anything whatsoever with a combined EFC of near 38k
