Is there anyway i can find grants to pay for college, not including the ones recieved through FA department of the school? Does anyone know any good websites for these things?

FastWeb…

fastweb doesn’t have much…

Well-- there’s no financial aid fairy out there just waiting to throw money at you. Fast Web has a lot of scholarships-- but if you’re looking for a quick and dirty form that you fill out that will toss 20K your way, forget it.

You have to work at it, apply for scholarships, and you might get a few, maybe one or two thousand dollars each. But it’s unlikely you’ll get enough outside scholarships to pay for a significant portion of the cost of college, and many of those that you do get won’t be renewable. So financing your college education solely through outside scholarships isn’t a realistic strategy, IMO.

You’re more likely to get merit based aid from certain colleges that you apply to, and you need to be selective in order to find the colleges that are likely to give you the most need-based aid. You should also know whether you’re likely eligible for need-based aid, by calculating your EFC and comparing it to the Cost of Attendance of the schools you’re considering.

oh, okay…

sorry…
