Hi, I am really clueless when it comes to graduate schools. I know that alot of graduate schools (for masters and PHD) do not require the GRE CS Subject test for admission. I was wondering if anyone knows if taking this test (and scoring well) helps your application alot? Do admissions committees of top cs schools look for this? Thanks :)

it depends what is your other background. if your GPA is high with good scores in CS core courses, also has a high GRE general scores. then you should focus on the application and essays.
otherwise, you can take the subject to prove your ability on Computer.
