Great Books on Medicine

I suggest that you guys read the following books:

Harvard Med

The House of God

Great books for those interested (and even not interested) in medicine

I would add:

The Making of a Surgeon

Complications

This is more of a biography, but I've heard the book is pretty insightful. (Because the surgeon it depicts is a Christian, it has some references to spirituality and God, a forewarning for those who tend to keep their distance from those topics.):

Gifted Hands

It is about the life of Dr. Benjamin Carson, a world-renowned neurosurgeon who seperated craniopagus ( ok, I don't think that's the correct spelling...) and how he became a neurosurgeon.

I'm starting to read the book "White Coat". It is about a woman's experience at Harvard Medical School. It's very good so far!

The Healing Blade by Edward Sylvester
When the Air Hits Your Brain by Frank Vertosick

are 2 very interesting about neursurgery
