Hey!
I’m a varsity athlete for women’s rowing and tennis. I’m the captain of the tennis team and reading competition team. I’ve taught classes to children based on historical time periods for 4 years. I started the first UNICEF club in this part of the state. I teach faith formation, volunteer at the elementary school, did volunteer tennis tournaments to raise money for the victims of a violence. I am a student mentor, member of national art honors society, science NHS, and regular NHS, and catholic club leader. I wrote a book, and it won a national writing contest. I also have some awards for photography that are more local. I took college classes at CMU over the summer and have college in high school credits from a community college.
My GPA is a 3.94. I have 3 AP classes this year and 4 my junior year. We are the top ranked public school in the state.
My SAT scores are low though. I am really bad at math. On the new SAT I have a 1300. I want to apply early decision to Villanova (it’s due in two days whoops), but I’m scared my scores will mean an automatic denial.
How much do scores really count? I have an 8/9 on all the sections in writing, but most colleges don’t look at writing.
I am applying to study English and Business.
My list of schools:
Penn State (and honors college)
Northwestern
Villanova
Grove City
Princeton (I know it’s a reach… but might as well try)
Notre Dame
Lehigh
