<p>any current students want to take the time to break down the whole frat scene?</p>
<p>i'm just curious about the frats and what each is like/type of people in them</p>
<p>From what I've heard, Beta, Pike, and Aepi seem to be the most predominant ones. Aepi is mostly Jewish. My roomate's in it and from what he tells me, they're the most potheaded frat at Michigan. Aepi also has the highest average gpa out of all the frats at UM... go figure. I've met some guys in Beta and they seem to be pretty cool. Mostly white, conservative guys... maybe 7/10 on the WASP scale. A lot seem to be business/econ majors. Some people have said they're shady towards girls but I'm not altogether sure on that. They're probably the most involved with the "hot" sororities. Pike's a lot like Beta but a lot of people seem to call it "THE drinking frat." Go to one of their parties and you'll see why. Again, lots of business/econ/poli-sci guys. That's about all I know, hope it helps.</p>
<p>Beta, Pike, and AEPi were by far the biggest this year. Beta has been on social probation pretty much all year and I've heard they are close to getting kicked off campus. But their pregame parties were by far the best in the fall, I partied there in the beginning of the year and had a ton of fun.</p>
