<p>I am a US Permanent Resident, high school senior applying to college this year.
My green card expires on October 1, 2014 (very soon..) but I am currently in the green card renewal process.
I am 99% certain that it will be renewed successfully, but the process takes months.
The Common App requires me to upload a picture of my green card. But as I said, it expires before the application due dates, and the due dates will pass by the time my green card will be renewed. What should I do? What CAN I do?</p>
<p>Why are you not going for citizenship? the GC is for 10 yrs, you have had a ton of time to renew. Certain scholarships are based on citizenship, did you know that? My local universities regent’s for example. Anyway, I would upload what you have and note where you are in the process. Are you a minor still? . </p>
