Please help! Waiting for green card: apply as permanent resident or other?

Hello, I am currently waiting for my green card to arrive. I had the interview at the beginning of August and the immigration officer wrote that my application was pending on my passport. I already have my employment authorization card and my SSN (which allows me to work, as well). My question is, do I apply as a PR or an international? I spoke to my guidance counselor and vice principal and they told me to apply as PR and just upload what I have into Common App. I was planning to do as they told me, but now I am not so sure.

Does anyone mind helping me out? I have completed my entire application and all of my supplements and that is the only section that remains incomplete. Please help ):

Hi there,
My son is also in the same boat. please let me know how did you complete your common app with AOS status.

You won’t get a response from a three year old post… but I feel like the best thing to do is to be honest about your current status (international, and the status of your green card process). Call the school admissions office immediately if the green card comes through. If you can wait to submit applications to closer to the deadlines (depends on the schools, whether they are rolling admissions, etc.), then wait so maybe the card will come through before the applications need to be turned in and the answer to that question can be changed. I wouldn’t wait until the last couple of days, though, the Common Application can be finicky and have technical problems. But maybe wait until 4-5 days before the deadline.
