Which is the better community college: Grossmont or Miramar? I live in the SD are so both are pretty close by. I live closer to Miramar since it takes me about 15 mins tops to get there but it takes me atleast 30 minutes to get to Grossmont. Which do you guys recommend? I'm planning to major in computer engineering. So I only wanna spend two years at the college and then transfer out to SDSU, which would be perfect. My only choice for a college is CSU San Marcos. I'm thinking about just attending there for one year to see how I like it there and then go to CC and then transfer to SDSU. Or should I just stay at San Marcos? I really just wanna get into SDSU. What would be my best option? And should I even go to San Marcos?

I can’t tell you much about each school since I go to Mesa. But I have friends who go to Miramar and I know that they really like it there. It is a smaller campus there and I heard class size are smaller and it is easier to get into classes. Plus, you can always take classes in different CCs.

As for San Marcos, in my opinion, I think you should give it a try because I am sure that there are more on campus clubs and events to attend than going to a CC, even if you live at home, you can still participate in those things. Just make sure to take classes that can be transfer to SDSU as GEs or why not stop by SDSU to talk to a counselor? I suggest you ask about the residency issue because I think you get priority if you transfer from a CC in San Diego County but I don’t know if you would lose that priority if you choose to attend San Marco and then transfer. (I am not sure if this still applies, that’s why you should ask first!)
