So, I have recently bought the Gruber´s Complete SAT guide. I want to use it to effectively study for the math section of the SAT. How would I go about completing the book? Would I just follow the math section chronologically or is there a better strategy?
Thanks
I suggest you use that book to identify math concepts that you need help with and then to develop a better understanding of those concepts. After you have mastered the concepts, I’d suggest switching to a different book that does a better job of teaching SAT strategies. Three that come to mind are PWN the SAT, Dr. Steve’s 32 most effective math strategies and The New Math SAT Game Plan. Good luck.
I used/still using the Grubers book. I find it best to use it in conjunction with the Blue Book . First take a practice test to gauge where you’re at . Then go through the math section of the blue book, and take another practice test. This time around, you should experience a score increase. Remember, Grubers is good for those trying to score 600-650. It will not go over the questions you need to score 700+. I also have the Dr Chungs book which is amazing. So I recommend to first use Grubers then graduate to Dr Chungs when you have exhausted the Grubers book - a fellow SATer
