GSP info session

Went to NYU today for info on GSP. Very well run and informative program with Dean, and others explaining the program, its benefits & student life. Seems to be a good plan and my son was impressed. Many students and parents there. Interestingly, all had applied to CAS except 1 (Stern). Those who spoke made the students feel special and fortunate to have been given the GSP opportunity. From what I heard, I agree. Also, the "campus" area was not as spread out as I was led to believe and it felt like a community, albeit, an urban one. BTW- transfer from GSP to Stern if original application was to CAS is almost impossible. (zero last 2 yrs).

I also went to the GSP Info session and although the event was quite informative, I found it rather dull and boring. The dean and his crew presented jokes that appealed to the adult audience rather than the students though that wasn't realy a concern of mine. At one point he cut the student speaker, not allowing her to speak and I thought that was very rude. Yes, time was limited, but she barely talked the whole session and when she was about to speak, she was silenced.

Was there any info given at the GSP meeting that was interesting, that maybe you didn't know before?

did they mention if GSPers are eligile for $$??

yes- eligible for fin aid just like any NYU student

does anyone know if there'll be another aorund the 24 of March? I plan on going up there that weekend, and I'd like to see th esetup for myself...
