wassap yall im wondering if GSU is safe for students. I saw this on another website and it got me worried about if GSU is ok for students anymore. I know they say they improve security but I hear a lot of ***** about campus. Is it ok if i bring my ride to GSU?

The campus is located in a bad area. Grady Memorial Hospital, underground Atlanta and two MARTA stations line campus. Since it’s a commuter school, it gets quiet after dark. This is a really sad story. However, GSU has one of the largest campus police departments in the state(for this very same reason)

Crime on college campuses is nothing new. However, usually we hear about someone getting into trouble past 2 am. It’s tragic that students aren’t safe even in the dorms. Last I heard, the GSU Commons beefed up security due to TV sets being stolen from their common areas, and yet this still happened.

There have been several deaths by arms of GSU students in the recent years.

The guy above me is very uneducated about Georgia State. While it is still a majority commuter school, there are nearly Ten thousand students living on campus. It doesn’t get very quiet at dark, as well.

The area around Georgia State is pretty dangerous, but not as much as it used to be. In other words it is improving. The area around Georgia Tech is MUCH more dangerous than the one around state.

Also, the people who robbed the student at the dorm got in because they were students themselves, thus this shouldn’t cause worry like every random person from the street can just walk in the dorms.
