I'm a current student at Kennesaw State. I've lived in the Atlanta area my whole life. I have all my classes completed to transfer other than Calc 2 which I'm taking this fall. I will be applying for a transfer during the Christmas break. My overall GPA at KSU is a 3.62 and my math/science GPA is a 3.67

How does this look for a business school transfer? I really hope I get in because Kennesaw state does not require Calc 1 and 2 for my major. I'm basically going all in for Tech as it has been my dream school my whole life.

I also go to KSU and am looking to transfer to tech. I will be finishing up my classes this semester as well. However, I will have to apply for summer because the document deadline for spring is october 1st.

I think you have a good chance. You are higher than the average GPA for transfer students.
The business school does seem to be pretty selective though on transfers. About 21% of applicants get accepted (via their factbook on GT’s site)

I’m also taking calc 2 this semester. Who are you taking?

My calc 2 teacher this fall is Espinoza. I had no clue that the acceptance rate is so low. I can’t find much info on the GPA to get into the business school. There is a lot of info on every other field though.

Agreed. Hard to find much information on the school’s website. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Since you live in the area I would make a point of visiting and talking to admissions. I believe they would be able to tell you the average GPA for business transfers.

I am going to the transfer info session today. Not sure what I will find out there but will give an update when I get back. I will ask what GPA’s are shoe-ins and what is borderline for business transfers if I am able to.
