Gtown Chances Anyone????

I am a white male currently a junior in very competitive high school in ny(top100 in the country) and it would be my dream to attend Georgetown but i know that it is alomst impossible to gain admission i would also be really happy to attend BC,Penn,CM,Emory,William and Mary, Michigan, Chicago, Nova, Cornell, but im not sure of what safety school i would really apprectate anyone review of these choices

GPA- no ranking at my school(but assume i would rank somewhere between 10-20) and ranked on a 100 point scale no weighting
94.5 and hopefully improving to 96 but the end of this year
I take the hardest schedule possible all honors in every class and have not gotten a B in any class
Not allowed to take APs until junior year and i plan to have taken 6+ by the end of senior year.

SAT- a bit disappointing i took the january SAT cold i didnt open a single book i got a 660M 630V.... very dissapointed about math considering i have gotten a 100 average the last 3 years. Will this end up hurting me in the end even if i can pull out the dumb mistakes and get that up to high 1300s mid 1400s

SATII 700-bio, 730 MathIC, plan to take IIC as well as US history and i am aiming at high 700s on both.

bump to the top i go

cmon bump bump bump

bump......

how do you do this AMC thing and what is it? It's math related right?

yea there are 2 tests AMC 10 and AMC 12 and they are both 25 questions and if u score like over 100 total point u make it to the next round my school signed me up for it

whomp.....

Everything looks good except the EC and the SAT. Take the SAT again and try to break 1400. Or take the AP and go for atleast a 31. I think you have a solid chance. I wouldn't say you are a shoe in, but very decent. I am very confident you will get into William and Mary and Michigan because I personally know people who are less qualified than you are but were accepted Early decision. Just hope that the lack of EC's (I am speaking of community service and special awards etc.) doesn't hurt too much (If you write a very unique essay that can cover up the problem to an extent)

whomp.........

Whomp I Need Someone

move on up

get out the way

i applied last year... had a 1480, 4.24 gpa, numerous ec's with leadership, etc. got deferred and then rejected from SFS, though my rank was 24.. even the kid who was number 3 in my class got waitlisted... i don't mean to sound so negative, but admission there is SO tough....

but if you want it, work hard, and trying can't hurt!

yea i figure that i have to bring my sat up like 100-150 points probably to like 2100 atleast the only thing is will they base any decision on that i did bad on the first try

u should be fine at the college but SFS is definitely more competitive

............

In reality, not good.

y not.....

your SAT is a bit low..go to the georgetown forum and check out the EA stats thread...
