Does anybody know how hard it is to get accepted into those types of programs at VCU or GW?

This is from the VCU website:

The Preferred Applicant Track in Medicine offers Honors premedical students an opportunity to apply to the VCU School of Medicine at the end of the sophomore year at VCU. Students offered admission to the School will have a seat held for them in the class entering two years in the future, without the need to compete further. This guarantee of admission is contingent upon completing a set of requirements for the Track, as well as completion of an honors degree. A corroborative, combined MCAT score of 26, with no score below 7, is also required to maintain the guarantee.

Who is eligible?
All premedical students entering VCU as freshmen in the fall of 2000 and thereafter. Students who are not admitted to the Honors Program prior to entering VCU must meet the requirements for admission to the Honors Program by the end of the fall semester of their freshman year (3.5 GPA required; 12 credits minimum) in order to be considered further for the Track.

Combined medical programs in general are extremely competitive. I don't know about the combined law programs, but I'd imagine they are competitive as well.

Guarnteed admissions to law school with a combo is very selective also. The only school I know that has a fairly "easy" double-admit policy is Dickinson College. That is because it is harder to get into Dickinson College than the Dickinson School of Law (as it is part of the Penn State system). However, I'd say that IN GENERAL, the double admits are very competitive.
