Guaranteed/Non-renewable housing?

I'm an NYU transfer student (transferring from community college) and applied for housing. Initially, I was classified as a "waitlist" and recently saw my housing profile summary as "Guaranteed/Non-renewable."

Anyone know what this means?? Also, for those familiar, how hard is it to get a single (or a dorm where each student has his/her own little room, within the dorm)???

Getting singles is hard in general, let alone as a transfer student.

I recieved the same information yesterday. Check your NYU e-mail and you will find an e-mail explaining the details around guarenteed housing. I had to return some paperwork, along with a deposit by May 27th in order to accept my housing placement. Good luck!
