Yea, accepted Nell '08. Food Science! Josie, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I was pulling for you. Congrats to everyone.

just heard, got into aem. congrats to everyone else.

there are very few freshmen transfers, I know of only 2 this year. as for sophomore or junior transferring, if you screwed up high school but do really well in college then it will easily override it. When i transferred into arts and sciences they didnt even askf ro my HS info.

HS grades and SATs factor little into the process for GTs and prob for regular transfers also I'd think. They care most about your college work.

has everyone that is a GT heard from Cornell? especially CALS

ILR--rejected--online notification...for all you GT's out there for Fall 2007...when they say get a 3.3 they mean a 3.30...a 3.29 is not a 3.30...a 3.23 like i had is DEFINITELY NOT a 3.30...they mean what they say.

roots, I really screwed up my first semester and only had a 3.07. But second semester now I'm getting all A's and this showed in my mid-term progress report which I accompanied with personal letter explaining how I've adjusted to college work. it still is possible if you dont meet the 3.3 but for any future GT's you're right, just do whatever you ahve to to make the 3.3 to avoid yourself any stress.

I just saw int he other GT thread that you said you got a C, i think that contributed more than the overall GPA. Sorry tho man, if you're trying again i hope for the best for you

thanks man

ACCEPTED for the hotel school!! AHHHHH.

NOOOO ROOTS! I was rooting for you! I'm so sorry. Just remember that you are going to make it in life no matter what. You are obviously very intelligent and just got a lil unlucky. Keep up the good work tho!

thank you, i appreciate the support...good luck in school next year and at cornell in 2007..i might see you there.

it could be the wrong fit or cornell is simply better

This thread is from 2006
