guaranteed Transfer decision date

i second that. any gt's hear anything yet from cals?

i'm a guaranteed transfer waiting to hear as well. im transferring into cals aem program from the university of delaware hopefully. i have the gpa requirement (3.64) and I fulfilled most of the required classes except one english class which i'm taking this summer. I'm also a little worried because I had a judicial violation of the alcohol policy this year. I am very on eddddgeee. anyone hear anything yet? anyone have a contact in the admissions office? i'm checking my mailbox three times a day.

BUMP...come on gts

i am an ilr gt too

but for 07' so all this makes a tad bit nervous

Yeah, but the person who I have heard was rejected took the wrong biology class or something like that. So im hoping thats the only reason why and the rest of us are okay.

i'm a gt and i just found out that i got in to CALS!!
ahhhh i'm so excited i just checked it right now for the hell of it but i actually did get in right now ahhh

accepted!!!!
YAY!!! gt to CALS.

When did you get your decision, driajack? in the middle of the day? last night?

...... and how did you get it? phone call? email? on the website? through mail? or something else? id like to know what to expect

I got it by email because i told them I needed to know for a summer job or summer school. They sent it at like 9 this morning. When i talked to the admissions lady she said all CALS gts should be done this week. So you could call and say you need to know, and otherwise you should know within a couple of days. They said my letter was already in the mail, but emailed me since i called.

...so basically, I think they are mostly done and in the mail. If you guys met the requirements they asked of you, and know you took the right classes, then theres no doubt that you are in.

oh, and im from arizona so my stuff has a lot farther to travel...you should hear soon

nope i got mine online, and the check application status link. i didnt get an email. theres like 4 choices before they give you your decision, like check application status, review contact information, etc. and then when your decision is up it says check you decision on one that was added. this was for me at least

CMB720, what did your page say before that? Mine says " Your application has been forwarded to the College of Arts and Sciences admissions office for review", and there is no "Cornell hasn't made a decision on your application yet..." or anything like that.
Are you applying to CALS as well?

Thanks for your feedback.

im a GT for the ilr school for fall 2007. i was recommended by an ilr counselor to go to a certain school that i got into and take some courses like macro/micro econ and eng compostion and maintain a 3.3. Is it really as easy as it sounds or am i drastically underestimating cornell's GT decision making process? thanx

go to the cheapest school u got into, take the easiest courses that will fulfill the provided reccomendations, and then take some stuff that you wont be focusing on @ ilr that you have a general interest...and don't worry.

does anyone know how much cornell values senior yr grades over college transcripts when extenuating circumstances are involved?

i hope they dont factor in toooo much cuz the end of my senior year my grades went down some but this years grades have been good. soo im kinda worried. by the way i talked to an admissions officer at CALS this afternoon and she said all decisions had been made and sent out in the mail on Wednesday....

yea my senior yr grades are not good as a result of a terrible situation. Im determined to do well in college and hopefully get into cornell fresh or soph yr through gt.

so basically if u have gt and maintain the gpa and take the classes they tell u to take, u r in pretty much no matter wat right?
