Hey guys, Im a senior in high school and i just found out that I have been offered a guaranteed transfer for ILR. Im not sure how this works because I havent recived my offical letter yet, but I wanted to know a little bit about how this works. From what I've read in this thread, you guys had to apply again and silly me, I thought that as long as you were offered this option, you were "guaranteed" as long as you meet the GPA cutoff.

I have seen GTs from CAS.....nvr in engineering.....

got it and going to do it

I got a GT at ILR too! It's been the most exciting series of hours I have just lived through. I am so happy.

To answer Jayson, you don't have to apply again. If you agree to be a GT they check if you keep up with all of the requirements they set (Through transcripts, reports, forms...that kinds stuff I guess). Even if you miss one requirement (which I recommend you don't, and I will work very hard to excel at everything they throw at me) they may still consider you if you have a good reason and you are a great student and person.

so does the GT thing mean that we are in if we fulfill the gpa and required courses cutoff?

Unless you went to prison or something in the course of your freshman year...I'd say yes lol

believe it or not, you do have to apply again. Admissions counts the GT's in transfser statistics (and hence inflates their numbers for some reason). The difference being you'll get in if you've met the requirements.

They pretty much said if you met the requirements they've set then you're in...I mean unless there's some problem.
