Guaranteed vs Non-Guaranteed

I always hear people mention that some programs are guaranteed and some are not. What is the difference? Can someone explain it?

From what I know, no program is completely guaranteed since there is a GPA minimum you have to keep. The guaranteed ones are probably the ones that do not required MCAT and the non-guaranteed ones are those that probably require MCAT.
WARNING: READ THE FINE PRINT! If the program requires MCAT, check what the minimum score you need is and also how many attempts you get. There are some programs I know that only allow you 2 or 3 attempts on the MCAT and if you don’t make the cut off, you’re kicked out of the program.

Okay so some guaranteed programs mean that as long as you maintain a certain GPA/MCAT score, you will not have to reapply to med school; you will automatically get in. I go to one that’s combined, and I don’t need an MCAT for. Non-guaranteed means you’ll have to go through with process the normal way. 4 years undergrad, 4 years med and apply to a med school in between. And as DxSnake said READ THE FINE PRINT. Good Luck!
