Guess who got rejected

well, those who frequent this community will know what my stats are, from the infamous thread, which evoked some really strong reactions and predictions.I got rejected at CMU.

how do i take it, i am feeling really depressed, i really wanted to go there.

I am sorry this happened.

I would suggest you take a few days off and relax, and then work as hard as you can on your other applications. It may be hard to believe now, but I am sure you will get into a college that's as good for you (if not better) as CMU.

Good luck and don't give up!

Just because you got rejected from a college, even if it was your dream college, don't take it to your heart. (trust me I know......)
You may not realize it but if you did get rejected there's always scope for improvement. You can't change the rejection but what you can change is the possibility of being rejected again. So stop sitting on your ass browsing through CC and go work on the apps now, even removing the tiniest error will help in the long shot. Give it your best shot and even if it isn't enough at least you won't be left with any regrets.

All the best for the rest of your applications :)

Thats tough. I talk from my experience after being rejected from my dream school as well. :( It sucks.

As they say, everything happens for a reason.

Well said, CC hurts more than it helps..

I'm sorry :(.

Can't think of anything more to say, don't know what it feels like to be rejected.

Take it in your stride. I know a lot of people who didn't get into their first choice colleges and are actually now very happy that they didn't get in.

oh my gosh..... im so sorry...

i know how you feel..... you may hear from your other univ....?
be positive though!
the best comes to those who wait and plan.

you will be admitted to several great colleges, and a letter from one individual school will not make or break your future happiness... you shd be confident in ur abilities

Best of luck wid ur admissions

i'm a little surprised CMU rejected you, given your stats. but work on your other apps (actually is there anymore apps to work on?) or take a few dyas off and reflect. it's tough, but you'll get by.

i didn't go to my first choice college because my parents didn't want me to. i'm at school #2 and now i'm not wanting to transfer anywhere else.

Oh..sorry for that...

Well...thats a fact indeed!!!..

Ouch!

I'm sorry..

yo, sorry about the rejcection thing, and I remember your thread!

Like everyone above me said, if CMU rejcted you, they probably did it for a reason and in fact this maybe a blessing in disguise. Think of it in a positive manner, work on your other apps!

inshallah said it best: "As they say, everything happens for a reason."

THANKS A LOT EVERYBODY FOR YOUR HELP, SUPPORT AND WARM WORDS OF ADVICE.

i dont think there are any more apps left to work on.
but i have applied to Brown, MIT, RPI

I will retake my subjects this jan, hope than helps.

thank you everybody.

Good luck!!:)

Your SAT's are low for an international. Mat II should be 800.

CMU ? Central Michigan univeristy or carnegie mellon

I guess it is Carnegie Mellon...
kATHIKSMART:Best wishes for ur Jan SAT!..;)..
