Alright so this my first yar of AP exams and I am taking 5 :/ I heard that you get not points off for wrong answers. So this means out of the 80 Questions you answer 50 and out of those 50 you get 6 wrong so your score is 46 out of 80?

44.

No guessing penalty on AP Tests, unlike on the SAT.

ugh sorry just woke up I was thinking 44 for but typed 46 darn small phone keyboards.

So you don’t get points taken off for the one’s you don’t answer?

You don’t explicitly receive a point deduction for omitting a question, but you incur the opportunity cost of the one point you could have gotten if you had answered it correctly. On AP Tests, as with all tests that have no wrong-answer deduction, it makes no sense to leave any questions blank.

^ Congrats on post #11,000, silverturtle!

^ Embarrassed thanks.

Omg omg omg omg

I’m a little confused. So, there’s no penalty for guessing on the AP tests?

No penalty for wrong answers.

If you dont get 5 questions right on a 60 point ap test. For example, you would receive a 55.

ok bottom line do i guess or not?

It doesn’t get much simpler than “No penalty for wrong answers.”

There’s no guessing penalty, so why shouldn’t you guess? It wouldn’t make sense not to guess.

Yes if you dont know it guess.

got it wanted to check I am taking 5 AP’s this year and have never taken any wanted to be sure.

What 5 AP classes are you taking this year?
