guest/visiting undergrad. students.

hello guys.
i don't know how many of you are familiar with them, but lots of school in the US (and almost every in the UK) has a program they call either guest student or visiting student. it's a study abroad program you can apply yo individually.
for example, my college in brazil does not have bilateral agreements to any top school in the US only europe... so i've been searching and thinking about applying it individually.

I current am enrolled at a economics degree seeking college, i'm interrested in either Economics, Politics (both straigh, combined or with Philosophy or PPE)...

I know harvard holds this program, Upenn... i'm still doing some research.

but if anyone could help: have anyone ever did this? are you familiar with how it works at your institution?

thanks guys!

it seems to me what you said is summer programs. so you can go the summer program pages of schools.
i think you 'd better go the ordinary way. taking tests , writing essays and applying.

sorry can’t give more help.
