I’m planning on studying an hour a day and then two nights before, 16 hours straight. I am watching khanacademy videos, I have my friend’s college textbook (not great though, and I’ve heard Zumdahl’s is better), and I have PR. HOpefully that will be enough…

Sjsharks, thanks for the guide and the released tests link; they were good practice. 01/26/13 Chem: 800 GBYA.

i’m just a beginner of taking this test. So I read your review and others so I think I’m gonna use Barron, priceton review, kaplan( should I?? ). I will take this test in May or June so do you think is this too much for me?? really need an advice. What should I focus on?

Is this thread right about the kaplan book? I picked it up for study before the May test and am in Ap chem, is Barron’s really that much better?

bump…

anyone? would greatly appreciate it :)

Is there any material on the Chem SAT2 that isn’t covered in Chem honors? I don’t plan to take AP Chem, so I already registered and I can’t really change that. Would Barron’s also work to review for the SAT2?

I took the Barron’s diagnostic test and missed 16 questions ending me up with a 750!!! I’m worried since I really need to get an 800. Is it typical for 800-scorers to get ~750 on the diagnostic, or should I worry and start cramming?

I’ve heard that Barron’s is usually around 50 points less than your actual score.

Also, thanks for the guide!

I’m not sure if this question has already been asked, but does anyone know for sure what the curve is like for the SAT Chem exam? I’ve heard everything from “really nice” to “really nonexistent”. Is there a consensus as to how many questions you can get wrong to be an 800? And if anyone can answer these questions about the SAT US History test, that would be great too. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure you can actually MISS about 5 and get an 800. I want to say it’s around 15-17 MISSED for a 700. Not sure about USH.

Hmm. Good to know. Is there a particular conversion factor/curve where you found those numbers? (Just for future reference) Thanks!

Score tables in practice books, and I’m pretty sure that SparkNotes has a table as well.

Edit) Here you go:

<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides;

On the bb released curve it’s a raw score of 82 or above to get 800. Then it goes down mostly by the ratio of 10 points for every raw score of 2 points.

Hi,
I’ve bought the college board’s book for SAT I and he questions seem too easy. Can I trust the book… Is it like the SATs? (It’s my first time, haven’t given sats before)

Hello, why I couldn’t not open the released tests? Do I need special authorization? TIA

im in college chem. im dying. no…help…will…save…meeeeeeeeeeeeee…
