I'm planning to take physics this November but the problem is I haven't as much as touched a physics book since 8th grade. So here's where I need your advice- how should I go about it and what books should I get? I probably need more than just "review" books since I'm starting at zero. I don't want to score below 600...

Thanks :)

I took physics w/o any physics class or prep and i got a 650. You should be fine for 600+ if you have no experience.

Since not all of us are endowed with the spirit of Newton, I wold recommend 5 Steps to a Five. Although this is an AP book, it gives a simple, straight-forward, albeit simple, explanation of most of the topics. There are no SAT exams in it, mind you.

GreedIsGood: Wow! But as BryMan says, not all of us are as bright.

BryMan92: I’ll get the book ASAP

I also suggest the Princeton Review book (the SAT one). It covers everything on the SAT, whereas the AP books don’t cover rotational kinematics and dynamics nor relativity, both of which may appear on the exam.

(5 Steps is still a good book, though!)

Thanks!

By the way, I can only get 5 Steps to a 5- Physics B & C. It will do, right?

5 Steps will be good enough, I think.
