Guys PLS help me!

Hey! Im really freaking out about college apps and it would be absolutely amazing if you guys gave me your perspective on my actual chances!
I am currently a senior and I will graduate in June of 2015.
Current GPA (unweighted) 3.43 - however I do believe it was miscalculated and it should be somewhat closer to a 3.5
SAT - first score 1880 -retaking in

October (hopefully it will improve!)
Made varsity volleyball as a freshman, part of leadership "link crew" since Junior year, member of KEY Club (international club for community service) and DECA Club (business)

Took AP Human Geography (4), AP Italian (5), AP World History (3), AP Language & Comp (3), AP Biology (4), AP Psychology (4)

Currently enrolled in AP photography, literature, comparative government and environmental sciences; enrolled in ap chemistry sophomore yr, did not take the test
Schools i am looking at:
Syracuse U (high interest)
U of WA (interested, mostly backup)
San Diego U (very high interest)
UC San Diego (very high interest)
UC Santa Barbara
UC Santa Cruz
Pepperdine (high interest)
Chapman (medium/high interest)
Washington State U - safety school

I am currently editing my college essay, but it is about moving to the US from Italy and talking about the challenges I've faced and how they made me stronger as a student and human being (cheesy, I know, but hopefully effective)

PLEASE PLEASE PLS tell me what you think, all input is SUPER appreciated!!! (:

I don’t know about the rest, but my brother got into Syracuse with worse grades and not as many EC’s. Have you taken ACT?

I haven’t and I think i have missed the deadline to apply :frowning: I heard people tend to do better, however I was fairly satisfied with my first SAT

For the UC’s, you need to calculate your UC GPA, see link: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/</a>
If you are OOS??, then only 8 semesters of AP classes count for the extra honors points during 10-11th grade.

Your GPA is low for most of the UC’s.
Here is the averages from 2014 for the UC’s and Privates in California.
UCSD: GPA-4.13 SAT- 2018
UCSB: GPA-4.03 SAT-1955
UCSC: GPA-3.82 SAT-1782
USD: GPA-3.88 SAT (M+CR)- 1200
CHAPMAN: GPA-3.70 SAT (M+CR)- 1209
PEPPERDINE: GPA-3.96 W 3.61 UW SAT-1279

Your SAT is within range for most of the schools except UCSB/USCD but your GPA will hurt your chances.
UCSD: Reach
UCSB: Low Reach
Pepperdine: High Match
USD/UCSC/Chapman: Match
