Honestly to me its simple
if your in good shape, you can wear leggings with a top that covers your butt
if not just wear pants
however race & size kinda does play a part:if you are a skinny white girl & you wear leggings its not as “big a deal” as a curvy black girl

Obviously it depends on the body type of the female.
Sometimes it is an amazing sight. Other times, it is horrendous.

leggings are one of the greatest gift to men. Really accentuates a girl with a nice butt. I cannot complain at all, I thoroughly enjoy them and encourage more prolific wearing of leggings as pants.

I only have a problem if she’s also wearing those hideous Ugg boots, or if she doesn’t ever miss any meals and tries to wear clothing meant for skinnier people.

As long as there are no furry boots involved, then go for it, girls.

Leggings bring the boys to the yard everyone

Why are y’all so against leggings worn with Ugg boots?

I don’t mind girls that wear leggings because its easier to check out their butts but I really hate it when… “large” girls wear them as pants. I don’t mean to sound dou chey but that’s what I think and most guys would probably agree.

lululemons (yoga pants), ugg boots, and a North face is like our girl’s school uniform, lol

I think today people don’t have as much of a regard for being checked out. Girls seem to crave attention atleast in my school and all of NY colleges are known for leggings and ugg boots being the outfit of choice. Competition at it’s finest for the guys who couldn’t have it any easier. Make guys wonder and have to work to find out!

leggings aren’t inviting to me. they make a little more cautious. I remember when i was young and watched my mom put them on/take them off. I always stared at her with a puzzled fascination at those times.

UghhhhhHhhh

Really, people are against leggings with short skirts/dresses? I don’t really like showing much of the skin above my knees [personal modesty thing], so if I really like a short skirt or dress, I just wear it with leggings.

I don’t like leggings as pants on most girls…I don’t wear them like that myself, and I’m confident in my own body shape. They seem to scream for attention which isn’t an attractive trait to me.

It’s not so much the leggings as it is the Ugg boots, but when worn together they emphasize the ugly qualities of each other

Wow this thread has been going on since 2010.

This thread has caused me to look at every girl wearing leggings and analyze whether it suits her or not.

Main point: leggings ate used to show off your butt.

I have the body for it but I’ve never worn leggings as pants. I’m a strong believer in allowing my personality to show when a person meets me instead of them staring at my butt.

I see girls wear leggings, short shirts, and sneakers. It’s disgusting. Some even have misshapen butts or large thighs. Clothes are supposed to accentuate your body. Don’t wear something just because it is a trend if it doesn’t look good on you…

If you doubt you can pull it off, don’t wear it.

I absolutely HATE leggings. Maybe it’s because I’m gay, but I’m largely considered pretty fashionable at my school and when asked by girls, my one advice for them is to not wear leggings.

Leggings used to be edgy and complimenting to an outfit, on almost all girls. Now, it seems like a quick get ready option in the morning. Even when paired with a nice outfit, leggings just look tacky because they are associated with the tackiness all the girls who shouldn’t be wearing them have given their reputation. It shows off way too much figure as well, but maybe I’m too conservative on that part. It just seems slutty…there, I said it.

When I meet a girl who wears leggings, I deduct points. That might seem harsh, but they know the bad reputation leggings have brought. Now, I understand if you’re in a major rush or working out or some circumstance like that, but not everyday.

Ugh…this topic, I could go on for days.

@Coste
Are you being serious?

Also who the hell still wears leggings anyway?! I have not seen ANY chic wear leggings in over a year.
