guys: what do you think of girls in leggings?

High school girls always seem to dress poorly.

Seriously, when did north face jackets, sweat pants and uggs become standard issue dress?

@boomstick it’s highschool, who really gives a f!ck about what you wear?

I sometimes wear leggings as pants… But only those really thick lululemon ones, not the thin ones. I’m in pretty good shape and all, so I don’t think it’s an issue. But why the hate? Most girls at my school wear them, especially as juniors, because we’re all overworked and overtired and they’re just easier and more comfy than pants. It’s school, no one cares.

But jeggings… ugh.

Eww, jeggings are awful. Stop trying to combine two articles of clothing! It doesn’t work!

@Coste

Its just because you’re gay

I go to boarding school, and so there are a lot of… questionable fashion choices around here. The most glaring faux pas is the combination of leggings + college sweatshirt + Uggs/Sperrys. On PSAT day, the sophomore girls looked like it was their uniform.

Personally, the only outfit with which I wear leggings is when it’s pouring rain, and I wear an enormous rain jacket that goes to my thighs and wellies. Honestly, my legs look the same as they do in jeans. When a girl’s behind is in full view, THEN I think that there is a problem. But otherwise, I think it’s perfectly fine as long as no one feels uncomfortable.

I’m a girl and I don’t think leggings can be exchanged for pants ever, no matter what body type you have. It always looks trashy, big or skinny. The only time they’re okay is if you’re wearing them with something that covers your behind or if you’re at the gym or the dance studio. I dance a lot and I only wear leggings with a normal-length shirt then.

I don’t like when girls just wear a tank top, sweatshirt, leggings, and uggs. It feels… skimpy and overdone. Besides, that’s what pretty much every girl at my school wears. Swap the leggings for skinny, skinny jeans and you have the winter outfit.

That wouldn’t make a great winter outfit bc I doubt a tank top will keep anyone warm lol.

Exactly, but every girl wears the same thing. Oh, I forgot headbands, rubber bracelets. and sparkly makeup. That really “completes” the “look.”

@98beebee
i never understood the headband thing.
Especially when really long haired girls wear it and push the headbands up a bit so their hair “mushrooms” around the top of the band. It doesn’t even keep hair out of the face…

well… ‘fashion’ over function exhibit A … right?

Yeah it’s just a fashion thing w the headbands like that. It’s like wearing earrings and bracelets. They serve not actual function except to look nice and enhance an outfit.
