What is wrong with tights?

I am taking a statement a guy made on one of my threads about guys disliking tights and opening up to the CC public. Why don't guys like tights? What's wrong with wearing them with a dress/skirt? I'm interested because they're actually very popular at my school and in my hometown.

that’s kind of upsetting, actually…i love tights : P

but i assume it’s because guys prefer to see girls’ actual legs ;}

I KNOW! I wear black tights with dresses all the time!

That’s ridiculous. Whatev.

My friend’s bf hated tights because when she wore then she wore underwear, then tights, then another pair of underwear since all of her waistbands were loose and the tights would fall down. Apparently he thought it took too long to remove all that. I don’t like thinking about it.

I think it depends on how they are worn…they look good on some and not so good on others…

I don’t wear them myself…I just don’t like them…on myself that is.

My mom says she likes the way they look on me but eh…not my style.

I don’t like tights. They’re too tight and feel bad D:

But if you can wear them, and it’s not a good occasion to show legs, then tights are fine.

Tights are fine… although I do prefer just plain jeans…

you mean on girls? or are you speaking of yourself, whan?

i think he means just tights which is fine on a skinny girl but ughhhh if your fat stay away. its likea fat guy wearing a see through muscle shirt.

^ Listen to that boy for he speaketh the truth.

Tights are ok when used judiciously.

In my opinion, the dark dress + black tights combination generally works pretty well.

…

Of course I mean on myself Trumpet! :stuck_out_tongue: Nah, but tights are okay on girls, but it depends how/what its worn with

During marching band the colorguard girls have to wear some sort of skin tight thing under their uniforms…they change into them on the bus…lets just say some of the colorguard girls aren’t very small…

Haha I knew it Whan! I agree with your words and andrewexd’s.

ahh ok. well I do ballet so let’s just say that I’m rather thin :P

^I dance ballet and my legs still make me want to chunder… everywhere.

^^I think I’ve seen those. People wore them when we did Rite of Spring.

^ You did the Rite? I am impressed.

^It was a shorter version, since our company was dancing for 2nd to 8th graders but I was not in it anyway. I go skiing on Thursdays – which was the rehearsal day – in the winter rather than dancing :(. Actually, scratch the frownie face, skiing’s awesome.

Also, I was like ■■■■***BBQ on you getting into Julliard. I feel like only the Yo Yo Mas of the world do that.

^ Haha Yo Yo Ma went to Harvard…

As for Julliard, I just sent in a composition portfolio more as a “I wonder if I’m actually any good” sort of thing. Although, after my ballet premiered I got a note from the musical director Baltimore Ballet asking if I could send him some more of my work. I was “well chuffed” to put it lightly!

^Julliard? Since I’ve only ever known one person who got into Julliard and she was a complete genius, you must be as well. bows

^ Thank you… I’m not sure at complete genius but people do seem to like my work.

@Millancad what is OMG***BBQ?
