GWU Chance: Entering Sophomore Year

I am entering Sophomore year and have some big decisions in my future. I am attending a public school and have a GPA of 3.9, a weighted gpa of 4.2, and I am in all the advanced classes that I can possible be in. I took the ACT freshman year and received a score of 24. I am on a committee for allocating funds to nonprofits, in student council, and on a school broadcasting team. I also plan to have 200 hours of volunteering by the end of my high school career. I am currently deciding the classes to take during my junior and senior years. The following classes are what I currently have planned:
English Honors (11)
College Credit English (12)
Precalculus (11)
AP Calculus (12)
Physics I B (11)
Physics II B (12)
AP Physics C (12)
German IV (11)
German V (12)

I would like to know my chances of getting into a good college like George Washington University, what I need to improve on in order to increase my chances, and any other things you would find helpful to a Sophomore in high school. I greatly appreciate your help!

Honestly I am just looking for anything helpful, I understand it is hard to chance at such an early stage in high school.

You’re on the right path, try a practice SAT during sophomore year if you feel up to it to give you a start. If you want to get into GWU, look for a 1900+ SAT and 28+ ACT, its still very early but take my word it all comes quick.

Thank you very much, I will try for a 28 before graduating, my goal for next year is a 26

Any information will do!

If you get your ACT up and keep your GPA where it is (which it is more than likely to increase b/c of your course load), youll be a great shot. Take some prep courses if you have time and can afford it or if you cant then the ACT book, then take it when youre in the spring semester of your junior year. Its your best chance for a good score (supposedly), and my guess is you can get in. You might want to consider something even more competitive than GW if your GPA continues to rise!
If you want you can look at my profile /posts. I am applying this fall (ED2 i think) to GW, and I will follow up if I am accepted or not so you can get an idea.
