@JFK2226 Please let us know what he says when he emails you back! Thank you for that information too! Hopefully soon…
@gwprospect2020 no they needed a specific form
@gwprospect2020 They just needed an old W2 I forgot to scan in.
They sent me a letter too saying that I forgot to send a W2 form in but it said that it had nothing to do with my acceptance
I feel like its down to Tuesday or Friday. Hopefully they tell us which day it is tomorrow.
Binge drinking, thank you for asking!
@heyitsnick it was about a noncustodial parent information waiver form, I filled out the 2015-2016, not 2016-2017, but j think if they’re interested in knowing it might be a good sign by I’m not sure. And i got it in the mail.
@aubrianna I’d think that would be a good sign too but I guess we don’t know much about the process to guess haha. Let’s hope they release the decisions tomorrow so we can know for sure!
Guys all my friends that applied ED to together schools have found out by now. I just congratulated another friend on her acceptance- I hope ours is soon too. And hopefully good news for all
I doubt it’ll be Monday or Tuesday because if they are asking people for more information then they will need time to evaluate the said information. But hopefully, it’ll be sometime this week!
The info has to do with financial aid. Financial aid has nothing to do with decisions. That just means you’ll have to wait longer for a financial aid package.
GW releases your financial aid award with your decision. The school is need-aware in considering admissions.
@golfer170 saaaame tho
GW is need aware
I was missing my ED app last Monday and I had my dad call and they said just get it in as soon as possible and that it doesn’t affect their decision just it will take longer for my financial aid package.
The website says ‘‘The awarding of financial aid occurs after a student has completed all necessary application(s) for financial assistance and any additional requested documents needed for the review of the application(s) have been received and reviewed by our staff.’’ (http://financialaid.gwu.edu/awarding)
Considering that they don’t mention admission notification at all in that sentence, I’m going to assume that most students will have their financial aid notification during admission notification but not all because some will have ‘‘additional request documents.’’ As such, there is still hope for tomorrow!
@HeyItsNick i sure hope so! this is making me so nervous. @futurecolonial12 I think @mknj1234 is probably right , i don’t think they’d wait to post all decisions based on a few people. however, I did fill out the form originally, it was just the wrong year, so they have the information already, they just needed the proper year. not sure if they’d have to re-evaluate based on that because the only difference between the forms was the year.
@HeyItsNick is right. Office of Admissions and office of financial aid are separate entities so admissions notification will not be affected by financial aid. But with that said, if you’re accepted and your financial forms are late, it could be problematic regarding your financial award. Fingers crossed for tomorrow though…I’m thinking like a 30-40% chance that they are released tomorrow. My money is on Friday.
Guys, @mls2016 @HeyItsNick or anyone else, login to you Admissions Activity Center. Both my friend and I who applied ED can’t get in because it’s undergoing temporary maintenance. Do you think they could be uploading decisions??
@aubrianna mines under maintenance as well! I hope that’s why, but mine was under maintenance last week as well so it might just be a technical thing. I kinda doubt they’d post decisions at 11:30pm on a Sunday
