Guys! I have posted a similar question at UW-Madison thread. But now I want hear from you guys.

I am a junior transfer student accepted into GWU and UW-Madison both in Econ major. I am planning to go to Law school and looking for the place that will prepare me for the top notch law school.

I know GWU is kind of weaker in Econ compared to UW but I like its urban setting and real world professors.

GW is giving a good Financial Aid and $ is not the main issue. Like I said I need resources to the Law schools and balanced academics. I need A's...

Law schools don't much care where you went - they care about your GPA and LSAT score. They will look at the difference between Yale and Podunk U., but aside from that, there won't be a difference in their view between UW-Madison and GW.

So go to the school which is the best fit for you. The happier you are, the more likely you are to enjoy your experience and do well.

Listen to what you are telling yourself: "I like its urban setting and real world professors." I think you will be happier at GW. With good grades from GW you can be accepted into any law school. Your time at GW will broaden your outlook. You will have a chance to intereact with others your age and with adults in the "real world." Are you from the midwest? It's always nice to live in another part of the country for a while.

Yes, I live in Chicago area. I think it would be a good idea to get out of here and try something different. But, it is hard for to me to let go of Madison with its excellent academic programs.

im currently a UW-Madison student and was accepted for transfer to GW. I would feel like an idiot if I didnt take this opportunity to study in DC.

If money is not an issue, you should totally come to GW. Plus there are a ton opportunities, both extracurricular and careerwise, that you can get in DC that you can't get in a lot of other places.
