I know these two schools seem completely different, but I really like both these schools (academically). I'm planning to apply ED II to one of these schools and I don't know which one. Could someone give me some advice, or compare GWU with Brandeis?

Well it depends on your plan for your course of study. I applied EDI to GW because I plan on studying international affairs and politics, therefore, GW (DC in general) would be a natural place for me to study these fields.

I’m interested in either international affairs/political science or environmental science/studies and to my knowledge both these schools have very strong programs in both fields.

you are right with IA but I think ES program is stronger at Brandeis.
Internships would be more readily available at GW though. The towns are complete opposite. So is the numer of students. GW is more diverse and international. I hope it helps you decide
Good Luck
