@havery I was contacted the 28th by phone then my portal was updated on the 29th! I had finical aid info by the 30th and the FA was express sent by mail a few days after that! They called me and asked if I was still interested in GW and that they where reviewing my application that day !

ummmmmm i got in 1 week ago and haven’t even gotten my FA
I got four calls today while at work. Checked my portal and I am in. I’ve already submitted my deposit at Williams college so looking forward to chat with GW assistant director of adm tomorrow. Stats:

I am waiting too. GWU is my number one choice and I hope everyone luck. My family in South America is going through a recovery from natural disaster and attending GWU will help find solutions back home.

@GWdreamteam1998 @kenzielouwho Congrats on getting accepted and everyone else who I wasn’t able to tag!! I’m currently on the waitlist and this is my dream school. What advice do you guys have that would help me get accepted? I did the call in days, I emailed my regional counselor, I did a campus tour and even met with a GW counselor on May 4th. What did you guys talk about when you called GW? Am I doing something wrong? Any advice you guys have would be amazing since I am a nervous wreck.
@GWUisthegoal I called in and I talked about having an only GW moment and I explained starting up my own nonprofit concerning Syrian refugees and creating my own current events segment because I’m into global politics and how the Elliot School would help me further this! I think calling in and explaining that I haven’t stopped since applying really helped!! Make sure you update on any new awards or honors you’ve recieved or anything you’ve done since applying ! I think that helped a lot. Thank you for the congratulations and good luck!!!
@GWUisthegoal hey! Well the best advice is to show leadership. Sometimes they don’t look at grades and sat scores as much as what you did in your community. Being involved and showing continued interest is big deal
First time posting on this thread, hi everyone! My portal shows that I’m still “under review”. Does this mean they’re still a chance for me to get in? I don’t want to get my hopes up…

@GWdreamteam1998 @kenzielouwho Thank you for the advice I called a few weeks ago and talked to my admissions counselor about my interest. It was a good conversation. Today I got a phone call from someone on the committee who asked me if I was still interested and that they were making offers to a select few. They told me I should keep an eye out on my portal. Fingers crossed, hoping for the best!!!
Where do people see updates in their portal? I go to the admissions activity center but it’s just a page with information listed as: Applicant Information, Application Decision, and Financial Aid. Some people mentioned their status changing to “under review”…where do you see that?
@GWUisthegoal Yay! It will change under application decision but when it changes it won’t be application Decision but under review from what I’ve remember
