@LailaSultani From what I’ve read I think how the waitlist and application process goes is that there’s people that read everyone’s application, then they pick the top applications they think and review them on committee, so I don’t think they’re going to call of the hundreds of waitlisted people but I have no clue :-?? From what he said I think he said my app was pulled to get reviewed further
@kenzielouwho wow!! So it seems that If you get a call your app will turn to under review.

@mercedes16 yes I called in and I think my phone interview went reallyyyyyy good ! And when responding saying I wanted to be on the waitlist I wrote a 300 word essay on my achievements and how GW can help me further my achievements!

My daughter was called my GW today, she was in school and we are on the West Coast so they were closed by the time she called them back. Ugh!
@fhgirl16 Okay… I didn’t mean anything by questioning the number of AP classes your sister took I just was wondering. My school offers so many so it’s a different perspective that I’m unfamiliar with since I’m surrounded by people taking five AP’s in one year (myself included). I wasn’t trying to imply that she didn’t try hard enough because AP’s in general are really challenging so where you guys only had the option to take a few I was pressured into a total of 9 over my four years here. I feel your sister’s pain as I have very little leeway of my choice of schools which is why I singled it down to BU where I MIGHT be able to apply my scholarship.
I go to a inner city public school that surpasses private schools in the nation so there is a lot of pressure to keep that legacy. When you have to take an exam just to get into high school and go through years of AP courses with the limited resources I had living in the very low middle class, you would understand my viewpoint of simply being curious about someone in a different situation who wasn’t allowed to do what I did. But I get it, everything is really competitive and stressful, again, wasn’t implying she didn’t do enough.
If I don’t get into GW and there are no available spots at Boston, I have to delay my scholarship a year because I can barely afford to pay the deposit never mind 60,000 a year.
@kenzielouwho that’s exactly how it went for my sister before she got in! I don’t want to jinx anything but I think there’s a really good chance you’ll be hearing good news in the next day or so!

Quick question: Will they notify you once all the spots that can be filled by waitlisted applicants are filled and there is no longer any chance to be admitted?

@WolverineGrad I’m sure they will but sometimes it goes until summer because other schools are also putting people on and off waitlist
