<p>How many gyms are there around campus, and whats the gym closest to Washington Sq Park? Could someone please rate them in terms of quality and convenience?</p>
<p>There are two NYU gyms, which are the only ones I know anything about. If you're looking for a private gym, I can't help you.</p>
<p>The older gym is Coles and it's pretty close to Washington Square--a couple blocks, about a five minute walk. It's got everything you need but a lot of the equipment is older and has seen more use.</p>
<p>The newer one is Palladium, located at Union Square, also convenient to Washington Square. Newer equipment and nicer facilities, but it also tends to be more crowded.</p>
