U of Penn and U of M are matches for sure
Is the GPA weighted? if so, Berkeley is a low reach. If it’s unweighted and the weighted is 4.15+, Berkeley is a clean match. Also consider SAT reasoning or increase ACT to 32+

The rest are reaches/low reaches Good luck, you seem like a rad chick. I’m Jewish too, but not particularly religious about it. Thanks for chancing me earlier! Hope your dedication paid off, looks like you worked really hard.

Some people in this thread really have no idea what they are talking about. Penn is definitely not a match. OP is not ED there so the Legacy will not help as much as it should.

But that aside, there’s not really much that anyone can add. You’ve gotten a lot opinions that are [mostly] in agreement.

In my opinion (IMO?)
GOOD scores, nice ecs and gpa (i would take out gymnastics, you already have a lot of ecs and since you only did it as a freshman year)

nice volunteering.
I think academically (maybe test scores could be a little higher), and extracurricularly you are qualified, so it really comes down to the subjective things.

Really try to display your personality and who you are throughout the application. Admissions officers will probably appreciate your unique energy.

So, I say
Brown, Columbia (Reach-it’s a reach for everyone), Berkeley(low reach), UPenn (match–you’re super connected here) UChicago (high match), U of M (safety? i’m not too familiar with this school).

Brown - It is difficult for anyone to get in, however I wouldn’t be surprised if you were admitted.
Columbia - Not particularly sure actually. I don’t know about the selectivity of this school.
Berkeley - Slight reach, not bad chances of getting in.
UPenn - Match!
UChicago - Low reach, or match.
U of M. - Safety!

Retake the Bio SAT II, or just not send it in, it looks out of place with your other high SAT II’s.
Also why don’t you go in the journalism/writing field?

Good luck to you! I think you’re quite on the right track. Great grades, and I think your ACT/SAT IIs will be solid by the time you apply. U of M seems like a given, and since you have family connections to UPenn, you could end up being admitted there. I like your ECs, but def start a debate team! I loooove debate haha. Berkeley will be REALLY hard to get into OOS, and if you’re that good a writer, you could really master the UChicago app. Brown and Columbia are possible too, just keep up the great work :)
