Haas BR's and L&S BR's...same? And are most students able to meet every requirement?

I'm aware that Haas has 9 breath requirements and L&S has 7 breadth requirements, but are they pretty much both the same breadth requirements (minus 2 other ones for Haas)?

I'm not even sure if my question makes sense. Basically, I'm wondering if you take an L&S breadth requirement...will it also satisfy a Haas breadth requirement?

I tried looking at the L&S website and Haas website but I wasn't really sure, so can any current Berkeley students help me please?!

And I'm also a little freaked out about Berkeley because I've been looking into which classes I should take at and I'm really really REALLY worried that I might not meet every breadth requirement and every one of my major requirements in a timely manner. I definitely want to graduate in 4 years and move on with my life! And then I'm worried that I'll end up with super hard classes. Can anyone offer any advice?!

Thanks so much!

you can overlap your breadth courses. the berkeley site and the haas site have it all. the l&s list is far more specific, so if you're looking for breadth classes to take, go with that list first. the haas list is a lot more broad, so after you've decided on some l&s breadth courses, check the haas website to make sure it falls under one of their general categories. you know that you can AP out of some haas breadth, right? you might not have to take 9 breadth courses if you do.

don't worry about not being able to graduate on time. i don't think you'll have a problem fulfilling your breadth courses (unless you're in another very challenging/time consuming/strict course load major). of course, if you do really find yourself falling behind, you can always wait till your junior year to apply to haas.

business classes are not going to be hard. they're more competitive than difficult.

Starting this year Haas is following the L&S breadth requirements. They are changing things for the incoming 2012 class. You'll be told the details at CALSO. They are no longer accepting AP credit to satisfy a breadth requirement again as of this fall. Everyone has to complete 7 of 9 by the end of sophomore year on classes taken at Berkeley. They then also have to take their prereq's. You will get credit for AP as elective credit I hear but not to satisfy breadth requirements.
