@OhioLax22 yes definitely i did that as well. they do give you more room to list awards and jobs, but i basically listed the exact same things except i gave a lot more detailed description because they give you a ton more space so take advantage of it!

@comp100 Thank you! And going to Haas will be a dream come true. I’m still in high school but I’m researching and studying my way up there. How about UCLA? Do they have a good biz/econ program? I know they don’t have a school for business so what is the difference with UCLA’s biz/econ and Haas?

@Minwhalee so berkeley has an actual business undergrad program, whereas ucla doesn’t. ucla is a great school and there biz econ is amazing, but haas is a bit better regarded.

BUMP! I will be chancing anxious people now I finally have time~

i need some opinion about my chances of getting into UCB hass. I am a transfer student with 3.5 gpa applying as Econ major. I feel like my chances of getting in is pretty low (sadly to say). I am very passionate about economics. I started working at bank of america after high school and have worked my way up from a teller to personal banker. Hopefully I get accepted. Getting very anxious about decisions.

^ are you applying as an Economics major? Haas is a Business and a separate school from Economcis.

Regardless my friend got rejected from UCSB Economics-Accounting with a 3.5 so I would say your chances for either Biz or Econ at Berkeley are low.

All I think about is Haas. Can’t homework, can’t sleep…

yeah Im applying as economics major. Oh, then how come they make me submit another application where I have to write another essay just for Berkeley?

@hippocow
Are you sure you applied as econ and not as business adm? Besides the 3rd essay, did you also have to submit a resume?

One more month!!! Have any of you guys heard back from other schools yet?

Just curious – do freshman have to apply directly into Haas as well, or do they apply for the major once they’re at cal?

@ alsjfllakejfa you have to re-apply once you’re a sophomore at Cal.

Is it possible to take an upper non-business course to fulfill a breadth requirement and a portion of the 12 required non-business units?
