How tough is it to get admitted to Haas as a continuing Cal student? I’ve heard that the Berkeley GPAs usually aren’t as high as other schools; does this have any effect on the admissions process at Haas? Thanks!

you need like a 3.5 GPA as a continuing Cal student. but if you get into this club, i think its called like alpha beta or alpha kapa, haas accepts 98.5% of them. And for other schools, the average GPA for haas admits is 3.97.

so.. if you dont get into haas.. what do you do? just.. get screwed and not have a major?

dude rohan, u have a 4.5 UC GPA and high SAT II scores. you already own half of the berkeley students, some of which came from those low income area public schools. plus, you got Stats and Calculus BC even though your not a math/engineering/physics major. i know you'll make it.

Does Haas (undergrad) have a limit of students it can accept every year? Or do they accept all "qualified" students, regardless of how many they are?

well the undergrad student body limit is 700...

Well for the 2004-2005 school year, there were 493 applications for Haas undergrad, 264 of those apps were aprroved. If I qualify, I guess I wont be encountering any problems getting in since less than 300 slots were filled (out of a maximum 700, as sleepisabliss said).
