<p>I submitted my application to Michigan yesterday, and I'm already getting anxious...</p>

<p>Stats:</p>

<p>I'm a white female at the #14 public high school in Illinois (in suburban Chicago, if that makes a difference...)</p>

<p>I have an unweighted 3.6875/4 and a weighted 4.11/5. </p>

<p>My class rank is 94/800ish (My school doesn't rank, though; I found out by chance!), and I got a 33 on my ACTs.</p>

<p>APs: U.S. Government--4; AP Lang--5. </p>

<p>Essays: My AP Lit teacher wants me to submit one of them to the city newspaper as a letter to the editor, so I'm pretty proud. (= I'm also very pleased with a second essay, and only somewhat pleased with my third. Though...I'm a very tough critic of my own work.</p>

<p>Honors/Awards:
High Honor Roll for three semesters.
Distinguished Honor Roll for three semesters.</p>

<p>Besides Michigan, I'm also planning to apply to UW: Madison and Wash U. in St. Louis.</p>

<p>Could I maybe get a second opinion? I personally thought my unweighted GPA was a tad low...</p>

<p>I agree, Michigan is a match for you, even though your GPA is on the lower side for UofM everything else looks exellent. I am a Michigan resident, and many of my friends have been accepted with stats lower than yours, I wouldn't worry much. Also If you submitted your app. before Oct. 30 you find out by Dec. 21, but two of my friends have already gotten a decision back. Good Luck to you!</p>
