I totally agree - the 2-inch flocked rollers do give a blowout look without all the hard work. My set only has six rollers and I’ve been contemplating getting a set of eight as my hair gets even longer. I confess I’ve even kept them in during my morning commute when I wanted the curl to have more staying power 
At least it’s dark at 5am for most of the year!

ChoatieMom - I bet you could do the roller thing if you wanted! If your hair is shorter, you could use the 1 1/2 inch or the 1 inch!
FryingPanShoals - I hear you on preserving the smooth look, lol. I use some unscented hairspray and for me the key is to never let moisture near my hair, ha. So I’ll pile the curled hair in a large knit cap for my commute (and make sure my car is warmed up so air is nice and dry). Might seem like a lot but I never blow out my hair or do anything else whatsoever with it (except color, lol).
