half.com prices arnt competitive as i thought it would be.

So, i went on the recommended half.com to buy my text books, but i didnt see much of a price discout. they arnt as good as i thought it would be. Do u guys know any other online alternatives? everyone loves to save money.

Edit: i found <a href="http://www.Bigwords.com%5B/url%5D">www.Bigwords.com</a> this one seems to be better than half.com

www.textbooksnow.com
[Textbooks | College Textbooks | New Textbooks | Used Textbooks | College Textbooks | Cheap Textbooks](http://www.campusbooks.com)
[Textbooks.com: Cheap Textbooks & Used College Textbooks. Buy Textbooks, Sell Textbooks or Rent Textbooks.](http://www.textbooks.com)

Hope that it helps:)

Half.com really depends on your luck. Sometimes there’s people that sell books for REALLY cheap, but you just have to find the listings at the right time, because those get sold fast!

I ended up getting one of my textbooks off of borders.com with the coupon code BUY8211E (takes 33%off) and created a rewards account. Even with tax, it ended up being less than most places.
O I also got 4% cashback with ebates: [Coupons, Promo Codes and Cash Back Savings - Ebates.com](<a href=“Rakuten: Online & In-Store Cash Back | Shop 3,500 Stores!”>Rakuten: Shop. Get Cash Back. Repeat.)

bigwords.com is the best!

amazon’s used books have some good deals.

@kenmai9 ur right. bigwords.com is the best. i bought all my stuff from there, they practically searches cheap deals for you. im amazed lol

If you want a side-by-side comparison of all the major buying/renting places: [DiegoBooks - UCSD Textbook Price Comparisons](http://www.diegobooks.com/)

You might consider renting your books for classes which you don’t plan to continue. I used chegg.com with coupon code CC111649 to rent my calculus book. Since I only needed 1 more calc class to finish my math requirement, renting was the way to go.

^yea, i thought about doing that, but for me it would have been a bad idea cuz i was going to continue most of them for winter quarter.
