Hamilton Class of 2015 Hopefuls

I know its too early, but I can't bear the anxiety! Post admissions status here!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US!!

anxiously awaiting…
my friend applied ED to wash u and they said they’d hear on the 15th, and she saw that she got in on their website tonight… hoping hamilton releases their decisions early, too, but doubtful. anyone know if the 15 is tentative or if they will announce early?

I’m e-mailing them tonight to ask what time they’ll be posting it on the 15th. I’ll let you guys know.

Guys I have a realllllllllly big problem. Supposing that our ED decisions will be posted in our My Hamilton account, I’m totally screwed. My MyHamilton shows that my application is still incomplete. It says I still need to submit the 1st quarter grades, official final transcript and mid year report. I’ve emailed them nearly 10 times but not even a single reply! I’ve explained them my situation and all but they haven’t sent a single email!
I’m soo freaked out! What if they dont even evaluate my application??!

If you truly have emailed 10 times without a response, and you are concerned that your application is incomplete, you need to call the admission office tomorrow. Someone will check your file on the spot; it is all in the computer for them to access. Unless you are international, there is no reason you can not make a call during business hours tomorrow.

But can it be that my application checklist is simply not updated? And considering I’m an international, do I simply not have to submit them?

You have to submit all the stuff I’d say cuz I’m an intl and that’s what I did last year. I’m not sure whether it’s just simply not updated.

i don’t think ED applicants send in their mid-year report, considering we get our decisions back before the mid-year is even over.

Yep mid-year is later, no worry right now.

My application checklist still shows “incomplete”. What if the decisions have already been made and are waiting to be published, and later on dec 15 i receive an email saying “since your application was incomplete, you have been deferred to RD?”
Might as well get a loaded revolver ready!

Are any of you guys’ application still incomplete?

Alright! I called them and apparently internationals do not need to submit 1st quarter grades and mid year report. And apparently, I’m all set for December 15.
Well the ED I acceptance rate is ~50%, so I hope we all get in!

yeah let’s hope for the best, even though I am not sure if I stand much chance.

btw, the time is 8 pm EST.

On Wednesday, December 15th at 8:00pm E.S.T., your admission decision will be available on line at http://www.hamilton.edu/myhamilton</a>. If you are admitted to Hamilton, you will also receive an acceptance package in the mail.

mine says “incomplete” too! it’s asking for first quarter grades and TOEFL scores, though i’ve emailed my admissions rep and she’s noted that since i satisfy 4 out of the 5 categories for exemption i don’t need those scores anymore.

oh man, to be admitted early to hamilton. that’s like hitting the jackpot, guys.

My checklist showed incomplete too, but I called them and the next day they sent an email that it was complete, and now it is.

Guys, how far does the “Why Hamilton” essay go in a candidate’s admission?

well i think it goes into “interest in college”, which is “considered”, and “quality of writing”, which i think fares as “important”. i may have seen this in a fiske guide or something, but it was pretty vague.

!!!ACCEPTED!!!

^^^ wow im impressed.

im a little surprised you chose hamilton and not harvard or something

wait I’m sorry I’m just confused… were you just accepted or was your acceptance from ED1? I was accepted ED1 so I’m just unsure when the other applicants hear back

ED2 applicants will know the decision on Feb 11

I forgot to post back in this thread. I was accepted ED1, but I withdrew my application because they failed to meet, or even come close to meeting, my financial need. Best of luck to all of you, Hamilton is an amazing college.
