Ugh. That’s really frustrating. If they haven’t let anyone off the waiting list at this point I feel like they should just close it. Obviously I want to go there, but not knowing at this point is really frustrating. If they haven’t even looked at the waitlist yet I’m guessing they won’t take anyone off it. I just want to know already!

I know what you mean. I really hope I get off the waitlist, I would enroll in a heartbeat.

Same. And I told my admissions counselor that, so hopefully they take that into consideration. It would be nice to hear that anyone got off the waitlist, since then I would at least know whether or not they’re going to the waitlist at all this year. I know my admissions counselor said they don’t plan on it, but I want a definite yes or no.

Really losing hope. I feel like by now we would’ve knew if they wanted to take us off the list. I just want them to communicate SOMETHING to us.

I know, right? And they don’t even let you know how many people are on the list. I know in the original letter they said several hundred were waitlisted, but the common data sets from the past few years show about 1,000 waitlisted each year. I have to call/e-mail my admissions counselor tomorrow anyway, so I’m hoping he’ll have an update on the waitlist if I ask him. All I want is a final decision so I can either embrace the college I enrolled at or rejoice because I’m finally a Continental. I kind of feel like I’m chasing a guy who’s clearly not that into me.

Same thing hear. I called the admission office and they said that they are unlikely to take anyone off the waitlist now, but things might change after a while. I dont know when this will be ended.

When did you last call? I called a few weeks ago and e-mailed about a week and a half ago. I’m hoping that somehow something has changed since then.

My admissions counselor just replied to an e-mail I sent to him. He said “unfortunately at this point nothing has changed since the last time we were in contact with each other. We still are not in a position to offer any spots off of the waiting list and our spring semester is also full at this time.” So basically, they’re not going to accept anyone off the waiting list. What I don’t understand is why they don’t just close the waiting list already. He also said he didn’t expect anything to change, so why make us wait any longer? Oh, well. Here’s hoping some sort of miracle happens and they do end up going to the waiting list.

I doubt it at this point. I’m mentally taking myself off the list. The endless wait has to end sooner or later.

Update:
I assume everyone waiting got the e-mail, but on the 6th I got an e-mail from Hamilton saying they officially closed the waiting list and did not accept anyone off of it. Figured I’d post here just in case someone didn’t get/see a message from Hamilton.
