Anyone else?
Decisions come out May 9th
I applied to transfer as well. Transfered from cc to a usnews top 25 university fall 2015. Applied to Hamilton, CMC, and Wesleyan because the school I transfered to doesn’t seem right for me. I had a 3.7 at cc and I have a 3.5 at my current school. My high school stats are horrible 2.5 GPA and 1530 SAT. Never fully applied myself for various personal reasons. Wish I would have retaken the SAT, but I never saw myself transferring from here. We will see if we get in on Monday.
I am guessing that you are attending university at USC? How did your applications at CMC and Wesleyan go?
@usckiddo wesleyan decision is out btw
CMC is coming in on May 9th as well. I assume I was rejected to Wes due to my HS record. Hamilton and CMC seem to take fit into account so we’ll see how the applications go.
I assume you applied to Wes?
no I was just on their forum and saw that decisions came out.
Where else did you apply to?
@TransferKid15 I love hamilton for various reasons. I am curious as to what others schools you like, because I am wondering if we applied for similar reasons. My favorite part of Hamilton was its emphasis on the importance of being yourself. I love that Hamilton has VERY accessible professors, research, and learning opportunities. I love the tight knit student community, the professional and grad school opportunities, the intellectual atmosphere, the location (not too far from Canada, Boston, DC, and NYC). I also liked the fact it is rigorous, but not overbearing (as opposed to places like Haverford or Swarthmore), as well as laid back.
I would describe myself as a somewhat sociable and laid back INTP-A (meyers briggs). I love learning for the sake of learning, but not for the sake of getting ahead in life. However, I love introspectively thinking and learning from others more, which requires spare time in my schedule. I guess finding meaning in life and my inner-purpose is just as important as learning for me and Hamilton facilitates that. I think Hamilton develops the best version of yourself and challenges you to use that self to better society, rather than moulding you into someone you are not.
@TransferKid15 Just got an Email signaling to check your decision at 1pm ET. Was yours the same?
