What kind of stats do you need for Hamilton?
What does Hamilton like? (I know LACs in general really care about your personality? ECs?)

acceptance rate is 36%
avg SAT is a 1350

Hamilton likes sports, actually. I applied and was accepted with no sports on my resume whatsoever but I have yet to find another student who isn't trying out for some team or another. The fact that it is so small and growing in popularity makes it ridiculously selective-- basically you need something great to make you stand out from the crowd. Meeting the academic standards and having decent extra curriculars won't necessarily get you in. They emphasize writing at Hamilton a LOT, so if you can write, your app is the time to show it!! Just try to more or less throw your personality in the admissions officers faces and hope for the best. Good luck :)

what are my chances of getting in say if i have about a 3.3 gpa, 2180 sats (1500 by old standards), and not much ecs. I also hear that LACs like it if i visit them and kind of get to know the admissios person (interviews and what not) because I'm planning on visiting colleges that I would seriously consider applying to. I would also like to know if it helps that I'm asian (im hoping that there arent many asians in hamilton so that might give me a little edge).

My GPA was much higher, my SAT scores were higher (with an 800 on the new writing portion), I had great ECs including team captain, student govt, tutoring, part-time job and tons of community service. I sent several writing samples in addition to my essays because I was told that Hamilton emphasizes strong writing skills. I visited and interviewed. I was wait-listed and did not get accepted. They want great writers and sports plays a significant role from what I could tell. Hamilton is a very tough school in which to gain admission. Don't let its size and location fool you...it is in high demand and I would have loved to go there.

toosubliminal,
I'd say your academic stats are good, but ur lack of ecs can hurt u. Just make sure u express yourself well with your application and essays. The essay and writing sample are pretty important. Also, being asian helps because hamilton has been trying to diversify the campus.
