Hand-scoring?

Hey.. Took the April SAT for the first time and got the following score:

Critical Reading - 500
Math - 580
Writing - 600

Total= 1680

My PSAT scores which I took in October were:

Critical Reading - 71
Math - 54
Writing - 56

Critical Reading has been the strongest section in both my sophomore and junior year PSAT and am puzzled that I got the lowest in it. Do you think this warrants a hand-scoring or is it just that the SAT is a little harder than the PSAT ( although I did do better than my PSAT in all other sections ) ? Also, the recent controversy with regards to the grading the test booklets in the SAT makes me want to believe that there is a chance that they might have messed up..

THanks much.

eh, your call. if $ is not a problem, why not?

There's always the possiblity that my score might be lowered ( in case the machine gave me points for a wrong answer ) so not sure what to do...

you could send the score, have it checked, and then send it again if you like it.

What do you mean? Send the hand-score back for re-checking? that would be expensive!

I guess my question is, is it fair to compare my SAT Critical Reading scores to my PSAT Critical Reading scores and expect about the same score if not more?
