I was accepted to Hotel School last week. I saw my acceptance online and received a formal admissions letter the next day. Then today I received another letter- well its actually a card with a watercolor painting of Cornell on the front and the words "Cornell Trilogy". Then inside the card is a hand-written note:

"Dear ____ -
Just a personal congratlations and welcome! Were excited to have you join us at Cornell in the fall.
All the best-
Brad Walp"

He also included his card in the note (Brad Walp, Director of Enrollment Management and International Programs).

So I was just wondering if this means anything special, or if Cornell is just trying to improve its yield rates with that sly presumptive clause?

Did anyone else receive this note or something similar?

The yield rate for the hotel school is really high anyways. I didn't get a handwritten letter when I was accepted, but I didn't apply to the hotel school.

omg approximately 7 months till i send my EA application to the hotel school.... im so nervous... OMG the day i recieve this acception/rejection letter in december is the day of how my future will be... CORNELL IS MY LIFE SINCE 6TH GRADE! SAME MAJOR ALSO SINCE 6TH GRADE!
