I'm a lefty, and I've always been fascinated by this topic. A disproportionate number of influential people (everyone from Obama to Oprah to Lady Gaga to Bill Gates) are left-handed. Why is this so? Does anyone some good papers/links?

stimulates creativeness

What if you’re both?

IDK, but that list makes me feel better about being a lefty.

I’m left handed, that’s interesting.

We should take a CC poll. Since CC has a large number of extremely intelligent people, I wonder if there are a lot of lefties.

I’m a righty. Take your creativity and shove it.

I’m a lefty and proud to be one! Only one in my family!

My class is one of the brightest to have gone through my school. A high number of us are left handed. My class has 32 students and I believe there are 13 left handed students.

Right on!
Yeah, that’s interesting that a lot of interesting/successful people are left-handed. However, I refuse to believe that the brain is as straightforward or as simple as dictated by the dominance of a hemisphere.
Anyway, I used to be ambidextrous when I was little (maybe 3-5) but then got scolded into using my right hand. I sometimes wonder how convenient it would be to be able to write and, say, eat at the same time. It would increase my efficiency by leaps and bounds.
Also, I’m more analytically-inclined, but in the humanities.

Right-handed, but wouldn’t consider myself overly intelligent or creative.

I’m a lefty, terrible at arts/crafts but I think very oddly at times

riite mayne

Left handed. And yes, we are superior beings. :-)

Agreed dude.

interesting huh

Right handed!

My twin sister and I are both left handed, but there’s a greater chance for twins to be left handed, although usually one is a righty and one is a lefty.

Right Handed…suck it.

I use fork and knife in a way that annoys both righties and lefties. But it’s efficient.

I’m a lefty and proud! If you want more information about left handedness, read A Left Hand Turn Around the World. I’m going to revise my speech around that book.
